Great Notebook on Sketchbooks & Notebooks

Just received it today, I will update this review over time if I have any thoughts on how the notebook is holding up over time. If I haven't edited it, it's probably holding up just fine! PRO: The first impression is very good. The notebook is beautifully designed. The museum plaque is a great material for the cover, it's done in subtle colors and the die cut details on the cover look great. The red elastic creates a nice contrast. The fit of the ring is excellent. The dot grid is nice and thin - perfect for sketching. CONS: - 50 pages is a bit light. Seems like more pages is good value for money (maybe it doesn't inflate the price too much but it will extend the life of the product - but if you've decided to get more pages you'll probably need to upgrade the binding as well ). - The museum board cover lifts off easily and gets dirty (I personally consider this a plus as I'm a wabi sabi fan, but I think it's generally classed as a minus) as well as rubber and shipping dents - the paper is a bit thin - it looks nice and smooth, but I did a test with multiple pens and this is what I got: * Sharpie's thin point - bleed and mark the next side (I didn't test ultrafine, will but probably have similar results) * Pilot G-2, Pilot Precise V5 (green), Micron 07 - they were all visible on the back of the page (but didn't mark the next sheet) - so you probably can't use front and back every leaf. The rivets that hold the elastic in place leave an indentation on the back of side 4 through 5. This isn't particularly noticeable or damaging. Overall very similar to the MUJI version with a slightly higher level of craftsmanship and product design. I am very happy with the product and look forward to painting with it in the future.
