Review on 🚘 TYC 800023P2 Mazda Cabin Air Filter Replacement by Ricky Mills

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Filters are manufactured with fewer pleats and the pleats do not look perfect when shipped

It was very well made and had a foam strip on the top seam just like the OEM filter. However, the filters were made with fewer pleats and the pleats don't look perfect out of the box. I could try to physically straighten them but didn't want to risk damaging them. TIPS: You don't need to unplug the two electrical connectors in the side panel. Just dangle it as it's light enough. I didn't use a short Phillips screwdriver because the one I had was smaller than the screw head and could have snapped it off. If you remove it, you will need a professional to remove it. Instead, I followed the instructions on the filter box, loosening the two 12mm nuts and moving the bracket to the side. You can use a standard sized Phillips screwdriver if it doesn't get in the way. The upper filter has a small protrusion that you can hold with your left hand while inserting the lower filter. It may take a few tries, but it'll fit just right once you get it right. My total filter change time was 15 minutes.
