Media could not be loaded. watch the video I received the DCD996B for Christmas and it failed right out of the box when holding the chuck with my bare hand at all torque settings. My son-in-law recently bought a DCD996 (without the "B") and he does EXACTLY the same thing. this is an exercise. You have NO control. I tried running the scissor jack or turning the screw in a controlled manner, but it was not possible. Assuming my unit was defective, I returned my drill and then bought it from another supplier (Revain). This one failed just like the video. This doesn't work with all of my batteries, which are different sizes and from different sources. That's all 996 models. Everyone should try your other models and make sure that's not the case. Shame on you Dewalt for releasing your flagship drill without proper testing. I have not used anything other than Dewalt cordless tools for the last 25 years and now I have lost confidence in this brand. I'm moving to Milwaukee. WATCH THE VIDEO.
