Are you considering installing a central bank? Get this meter!

This can be used for many things beyond what I needed. However, I'm not sure how well he does these things. For a simple setup of the CB antenna on my car (actually there are four) it works great and is pretty easy to use. Just look up the model number on YouTube and you will find some good videos showing you how to adjust the SWR on your CB antenna. Their range and performance have nothing to do with radio, as even the most expensive or cheapest devices have the same performance. (Sure, you can pull illegal shit that will blow up all the CBs on the trail. But everyone will find out who the big rig jerk is, and you'll be treated like you deserve. Don't be that guy .) The clarity of your reception and your ability to transmit depends primarily on WHERE your antenna is mounted, then the antenna type, and then the length of the antenna. If you're in a jeep with a roll bar, you only have so many usable antenna positions as something more than a very simple car-to-car transmission gives you. If you have a decent antenna (which is cheap, don't buy some crazy ET phone home antenna!) AND you have excellent physical contact between all connectors AND YOUR ANTENNA IS PLACED IN A CONVENIENT PLACE ON THE VEHICLE ( which you'll need to do some serious research because you'll be surprised if you don't know much about antenna theory.) All you need to do is "tune" the antenna and you should be able to within a reasonable range send based on the physical geography of where you are. This small counter is a reliable and cost-effective investment. This way you can easily set up your antenna and then experiment with different locations, antennas or settings. This is not just a thing that can be used and thrown away. Leave it. Once you see how easy it is and how much money you save ($400 so far for my four cars), you'll give yourself a pat on the back for how easy it is to set up an antenna. In fact, the hardest part of a home CB installation is choosing a location for your antenna. After that, all you need is all things. If you're looking to mount a CB in a Jeep Wrangler, I also recommend the 4" Firestick antenna (eg $25 at the rest stop) and the Uniden PRO520XL CB. It's very small and works great in a jeep. It is very durable. It s cheap! http://www.amazon.com/Uniden-PRO520XL-40-Channel-CB-Radio/dp/B00004VXNI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1404740889&sr=8-1&keywords=uniden%20520&tag=viglink20266-20 Enjoy Use CB . They're not that useful on the road unless you're on a long trip, but on the trail they're a godsend. Being able to easily talk to your spotter without having to keep sticking your head out the door or calling for help if you get stuck or broken - a good CB is daring. And this Uniden is one of the most popular because of its quality, features and physical dimensions. The Wrangler is small on the inside, and the full-size CB only has one or two spots to mount it. There are several, and one of them uses a special bracket available online that allows you to mount a small CB to the left of the dash in the space between it and the window. Great location and if you have quick couplers you can take it with you at night. Great radio! So buy that SWR meter, buy that radio, get all the other parts you need for a home setup, and get to work reading antenna theory. Have fun!
