I have an ultrasonic cool mist humidifier that I purchased from Revain. I have hard water where I live. I used filtered water and it didn't help at all against the white dust. I tried it a couple of times, I put two cartridges in the water. No luck! When the white dust settled, it was on everything in my apartment. The whole purpose of using my humidifier is to filter harmful toxins in the air and make you feel better. I need to do more research to see what works so I can keep using my humidifier. Up and go!
