I had one in the water and the inside came out, causing the humidifier to malfunction, and I could not use the humidifier for a very long time. The entrails were swimming in all the water. So I won't be using them anymore. just wasted money.

I rarely leave bad reviews but it was too bad for me. I thought it would make the water in my humidifier better. I figured this would ensure the humidity level was right for human breath. Instead, the next day I found black goo in my humidifier! I will not use them and will not advise you.

I received a similar item when I bought my Homedics humidifier from Lowes and it seemed to work. This one, not so much. In truth, I've read all the reviews that said they didn't help reduce white dust, but I was hoping it would reduce mineral buildup in the humidifier itself... but it didn't. I still get these hard mineral deposits in the machine bowl over time. Do I have to clean the block again after every second gas station?

We have quite hard water, even purified, and we have three humidifiers, one in each bedroom, so I was very interested when I came across them. Because it's winter here and the heaters make the air in our house very dry, our humidifiers usually turn on every night. I tried them in the humidifier in our room and there was no limescale left on them. They are super easy to use and will be of great help.

Not sure if they help or not as my humidifier is in. I didn't see any white dust from the start. I was hoping they would add a little more time between washes, but I got them recently and haven't been using my moisturizer this season. I'm sorry that this review cannot help you with your purchasing decision. They are small so should fit in a variety of humidifiers. I have not used them in my Air Innovations humidifier as this humidifier already has this type of filtration system.

I bought these hoping to reduce mineral buildup on the heating element of a Vicks warm mist humidifier. Judging by the photo, they did not help.
