FRIENDSHIP FINISHED SUCKING. NEW BEST FRIEND - BENCH CLAMP

I recently fractured my ankle quite badly and needed an operation. I have 6 weeks cast, another 6 weeks boots, second surgery to remove the shoes. I will be using this pen clip for a while. I've been using it for 2 weeks now and it's perfect. Very durable and heavy enough to feel secure yet easy to remove so I don't have to constantly install anything. I'm in my 30's and don't currently need a long term or permanent stick. It was easily installed in less than 5 minutes. If I try really hard, I can rock it along the side of the tub. It's not the usual position I use it in and I already have pretty good balance so it's not a problem for me. 99% of the time I only use downward force and this brace has no problem with that. The only change I would consider is adding a non-slip grip at the very top of the handrail as I need to make sure I completely dry any water droplets so my hands don't slip off. My bathtub isn't quite straight all the way around - the rail had to be clamped to the center of the bathtub where the sides are straight. This way I can lift my good leg out of the tub (I also currently use a shower stool), place my "sore" knee on the edge of the tub, and use this splint to balance and push myself. I can also use it to get ready when I need to change positions on a stool in the shower or when I bend over to grab something in the shower. (Plus, because of the setup of my bathroom, I can also use this bathtub pole to get in and out of the toilet!) I'm honestly thrilled that this pole allows me to get in and out of the tub unassisted, as long as my ankle stays, me think the technical term is 100% broken. It's summer here and very hot, and being able to shower every day without help feels great.

Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
