Batteries work better.

My first set of AA batteries lasted a year so I figured this item would pay for itself over time. However; The item requires the batteries to stay in place, so I still have to leave the batteries in and check them regularly for leaks. The device also requires a well-grounded, unswitched, dedicated electrical outlet. My only outlet under the sink is off. I tried the device anyway and it caused the faucet to turn itself on at random times. I switched back to battery power and now the faucet works

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • No power

It's absurd that you have to buy it, but THAT phantom touch FIXED!

I hate rating this so highly because I'm incredibly annoyed that I had to buy an AC adapter to come with the faucet. That's ridiculous. A $35 adapter for an already expensive faucet. But not only does this eliminate the need to change batteries every few months, but more importantly, it completely eliminates the "phantom touch" problem our faucet suffered from. I really love this faucet, but the fact that it would randomly turn on and off when no one was around was obviously a huge issue. Iโ€ฆ

I bought this item to save batteries. More.

I purchased this item to save on batteries. Most of the time it wouldn't work at all. I would have touched the faucet and nothing would have happened. I would have to disconnect the power supply which would reset it. It then worked for a while but eventually stopped working and I had to repeat the whole shutdown and reboot process. I make sure the plug didn't hit anything else under the sink, but it still didn't work properly. I contacted Delta Support and all they said was that the faucet wasโ€ฆ

  • High marks for tester support and durability

Cycle tap - Not enough built-in electronic filtering

You need a better filter in this design - I isolated a DC wire and the unit is on a grounded/unswitched circuit that is completely independent of the washing machine is - BUT when this motor works 60 linear feet when the wires run (down in the basement) - it picks up the motor on the AC line and the crane works! Maybe there are 9VDC 1.5A universal power supplies (non-grounded) that might work better? I spoke to Delta - there is no solution/answer from them. Don't waste your money on itโ€ฆ

So far so strange in Kitchen & Bath Tools

Installed with my Delta Leland Tounch20. See my review on this setup. But I end up with an issue that after being idle for a long time, the Touch20 requires multiple hard touches to keep the water flowing. I don't know if it's an AC adapter, a battery pack, or a sensor unit. But something about power management and sensors prevents the water from flowing when it's required. You have to hit the thing to wake it up. After that, Touch20 will respond normally. Then, after sitting for a while withโ€ฆ

Stick with this branded Delta adapter

1) Works great Indeed - the touch function is now more sensitive and reliable (both on and off). 2) A bit expensive for a Chinese product. But. 3) I tried a cheaper generic I found on Revain specifically for this purpose, but it didn't work. 4) Even with tens of cents for an AA battery, you could potentially work for years before spending what that money's worth. 5) See my photos. The adapter body hangs to the left (assuming you have a standard socket orientation with GND at the bottom). I hadโ€ฆ

Pros
  • . It's fine!
Cons
  • Functionality

Delta's sensor blender technology is under development. If you have the phantom touch issue where it turns itself off, or the battery eats issue when the battery lasts two weeks or less, or the angry touch issue where it keeps turning itself off doesn't turn on or turns on lets turn off with regular touches, but turns on and off randomly - you might have come here looking for a solution. Once you have reported any of the above issues to Delta, you must be prepared to travel to the Twilightโ€ฆ
