The hatred for this product on the internet is unreal. You've got the audiophiles saying it sounds awful and the privileged folk saying you need to buy an expensive turntable with great sounding speakers, preamps and a million other things. Does the player have terrible built-in speakers? Yes, that's right. Are there better turntables? Yes obviously. If I could go and spend hundreds of dollars on a turntable, I would. Unfortunately I am unable to do this. I think this is a great starting point for people who are interested in vinyl and just want to start a little hobby. I also ordered replacement diamond needles as I've read they should be better than the ones that came pre-installed. (At first I thought some of them were included in the box, but they aren't). Otherwise I think it's a bargain for the price.
