I am an experienced radio amateur, kit maker and electrical engineer and this "kit" was a huge disappointment. You have to drill your own holes. Not a big deal since I have a drill press, but still out of character for the kit. No instructions. Since you have to wind your own toroid, this is a big problem if you haven't already done so. I found the chart online, but another Revain reviewer thinks it's wrong and offers his own interpretation. The knobs that come with it aren't really designed for mounting a tuning capacitor and use a stupid mounting method. To be honest it would be easier Finding your parts in Digi Key and building them from scratch. A bag of junk for the price!
