Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Optimized Float Rear Shocks Rebuild Kit by Fox Factory by Anthony Bandzz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Tedious but works: Parts

I completely rebuilt the Fox Floating shock on my Specialized with this kit. Before the restoration, my shock absorber kept breaking. A few o-rings were missing, but luckily I didn't have to replace those particular ones. The restoration took a few hours because it was my first attempt at restoring one of them. I'm a mechanic so I had all the tools for the job. If you are inexperienced with tools or maintenance, I suggest you hire someone with more experience to do the job or supervise your work. It's a little boring. After rebuilding, you must bleed the shock to its maximum pressure of 300psi. My air compressor only works up to 150psi so I had to use a hand held air pump to inflate it. It's been working great for a few weeks now, but I'm keeping the rear shock spring in case it breaks again. I don't plan on remaking this thing for at least a few years or I'll throw it away.
