If you wear a leg/ankle/foot cast for a very long time, you know that it is impossible to keep the cast floor clean and tidy. intact. I just received this shoe and it suits my needs perfectly. I highly recommend it. I bought a medium size which is the right size in width and length for a size 9 woman's foot with a large leg/ankle cast. It's longer than my foot but the width is perfect. There are adjustments that keep the shoe in place and also ensure there is enough air circulating around the cast. I don't constantly take them off when I'm awake. I wore them to the doctor's office today and they were very impressed with these shoes and will likely recommend them to their other patients. I had my cast replaced with a thicker one today and the boot falls off unless I stand up and put my weight on it to hold it. There should be additional straps to secure the shoes by fastening them at the ankle. At the moment you have to invent it yourself so that it stays with a larger and thicker cast.
