I got them for my 5yo. They never hurt her or gave her blisters. They never had to be broken in. She wore them to her first dance class when they were brand new and comfortable on her. I'm so glad I have her strappy shoes. She can put them on and take them off herself. Some of the other girls in the class need the teacher's help to tie their tap shoes, but I'm sure the teacher appreciates the students who can do it themselves.
