Review on Advanced Bluetooth-enabled David Clark PRO-X2 ANR Headset with XLR5/AIRBUS Connector: A Game-Changer for Pilots by Kaveen Restoration

Revainrating 3 out of 5

ANR is useless due to the built-in "white noise ".

Sorry. I gave them a second chance and they didn't make it. I have a Bose A20 and I'm tired of taking up too much space in my bag. DC is lighter and much smaller. I'm on the A321 and Bose has the plane whispering softly. As for DC, I can't even say they are ANR. As soon as you turn them on, there's an annoying electronic hiss, almost as loud as the cockpit fans. This negates the ANR function almost completely. This is the SECOND pair I've tried. They BOTH have bad white noise hiss. I'M DONE. Sorry DC but you missed it with this one. I'd rather just put in earbuds with a bunch of ships. Let's get back to Bose. IMHO if you want DC to save money and get a non-ANR version and save a few hundred bucks. It's a nice little lightweight headset, the only thing that bothers me is the poor ANR quality.

Pros
  • Advanced Noise Cancellation - Bluetooth Technology
Cons
  • Almost OK
