This petticoat is well made and has just the right 'puff' for my trumpet style dress. The upper is soft and comfortable with some stretch. The lower part is made of two layers of solid fabric with a satin ribbon on the edges to prevent the petticoat from slipping and snagging and with a nice lining on the legs to prevent itching or sticking to the stockings. Remember, like a wedding dress, this petticoat is turned inside out to protect it from snags. Turn it over and straighten it. Steam it up for an extra stool. Great quality, great product. I recommend it for trumpet dresses. However, if you have a mermaid style with lots of flair underneath, you might want something with more puff. I think it goes best with dresses that just need to be displayed rather than crumpling around the legs. It really changed the way my dress looked. Love it.
