These are X-Acto blades. You know exactly what you're getting here. These are the #11 style "standard" hobby knives and are definitely sharp. I don't know if I can say I've noticed a difference between the standard blade and the Z blade, but I will say they last longer, or at least stay sharp longer than the standard blades. Whether or not this is just a placebo effect remains to be seen, but they are doing a great job. I use mine for dodgy things like paper cutting, sticky label paper, vinyl cutting and weeding, and no complaints so far.
