We have a swimming pool, sort of like an infinity pool, and we have forged shepherd's hooks on every corner that are double. We have plants on one side and wanted to hang speakers on the other to give us wireless music when we were at the pool. I did a lot of research and finally settled on these which are pretty good. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: - Sound quality is good (not great, but good). - You can connect multiple speakers together. We have four of these and their documentation says up to 100 can be connected, giving plenty of room for future expansion. - The color lights are synchronized and can be controlled with multiple options. - Lighting, speaker and shutdown functions. All paired speakers can be controlled by speaker #1. So far, the batteries have held up for all our activities without any problems and have never run out. We recharge them after each use and store them outside but on our covered patio to keep out the wind/rain/weather. Disadvantages: - They are unnecessarily complex. For example, we have four speakers and I had to manually name speaker number 1 because it *always* needs to be on first. Then you can turn on the remaining 3 speakers. This means all four will (usually) be synced as one speaker to stream to. *However* if you turn on speaker #1 and stream music and then turn on speaker #2, 3, or 4, they will NOT sync. You have to turn them all off and start over. - Speaker and light controls on non-number 1 speakers only control that single speaker, so you always have to control everything from one speaker. - LED lights up for pairing and Bluetooth is almost impossible to see outside in daylight. There are speakers on the front and back of the device, and the product description says "360-degree audio," but we only hear music from the front speakers, where the controls are. The rear may be what is amply described as a 'passive radiator', but when our ears are aimed directly at it, it doesn't appear to produce or transmit any sound. We lost our instructions and they don't seem to have space to download them again. This may help us solve the above speaker problem, but we won't know until we find or download the guide. Indicators maybe even a mic for commands like google home but none of these features were advertised so we knew we wouldn't get them but after using them for a few months they just don't seem quality enough, to justify this - the pictures show that each mood led panel can display multiple colors at once, but it is not true, each panel only displays one fixed color at a time. It can change colors and all paired speakers are in sync, but you can't have many colors at once. All in all, we're happy with our purchase, but not overwhelmed. They produce sound that's good and loud enough for outdoor activities and so far the batteries are lasting longer than our events so we're happy with them. We would buy them again and will almost certainly buy more and would recommend them to others once they understand the pros and cons.
