My Weber Genesis is over four years old and I use it at least once a week. Until recently it was kept on the balcony above the Stadtgasse. In addition to the usual city dirt, the building was papered and brick repaired annually. Smoke and cooking fat acted like glue, trapping dirt and dust on the painted metal lid and polished stainless steel side tables. I've tried lots of elbow grease and common kitchen cleaners, but nothing I've done has made much of a difference. I've spent less than an hour using this product and my grill looks great. The side tables are shiny and bright. The lacquered cover could apply to a new one. I've used up both of the cleaning sponges included in the kit, but I still have plenty of stain remover left. A few words of caution: the instructions state that this product should not be used on stainless steel. The side tables on my grill have a matte finish and I didn't care if they got scratched - I just wanted them to be clean. Also, have a damp cloth ready to wipe off any detergent residue immediately. When it dries completely, it will be difficult to wipe off.
