We had less than five black Labs that we first marked with paint on the butt. As they got older we decided to buy these collars which are great for spotting puppies when they come out to urinate at night before bed. However, ten minutes later they managed to remove one of the bells. Luckily it was found, as were the parts, but bells are short-lived for young pups. I would remove the bells for any dogs or puppies that interact with other animals. Great quality for the price but not worth the emergency use. Remove the bells and I encourage sellers to have a warning that they are NOT suitable for young puppies. Puppies are 6 weeks old and weigh 15 pounds, collars will fit until they are 20/25 pounds.
