My adopted puppies have grown big enough to dress and are almost impossible to dress and undress! These collars are presented as being detachable but I had a hard time putting them together and pulling them apart me and the puppies screamed in frustration. I don't think they should stay on at all while gaming - I think it would be too easy for a sibling to get stuck in their mouth and I don't think the tear off feature works.

Update: I rated the collars 4 stars due to the company's customer service, they apologize and give a full refund for the collars. Unfortunately I have to rate these collars with 1/2 stars. My puppies destroyed them by the age of 8 weeks to the point where they were no longer safe to use. The reflective tape came off, the fabric started tearing and the bell didn't last a day, a major choking hazard. Be careful when using these collars!

I received these reflective collars yesterday and two dogs already have them. I don't have puppies but I have a chihuahua and they are perfect for her. When I went outside in the dark last night it was great in the dark part of the yard, with the reflector I could see where they were and with the bells I could hear them. We had less than five black Labs that we first marked with paint on the butt. As they got older we decided to buy these collars which are great for spotting puppies when they come out to urinate at night before bed. However, ten minutes later they managed to remove one of the bells. Luckily it was found, as were the parts, but bells are short-lived for young pups. We bought these collars for our Labrador litter. They started wearing them around 1 week of age and wore them for up to 8 weeks and they could still be left on and used when needed. I love how easy they were to adjust, we adjusted the collars every 4-5 days and it's quick and easy. Our puppies were busy and active and by 6 weeks most of the bells had fallen off (which didn't really matter to me). Used nylon fabric Soft that is beautiful but less durable than ideal for puppies. I used them on a litter of 9-6 week old puppies. The reflective material had just been sewn on and they ruined it in one day, but the collars themselves have only taken moderate battle damage after almost 4 weeks.
