So if you've been using the same device for years it may take some getting used to. But we really like everything about this set. The doctor makes a transcript and loves the high-quality materials of the voice recorder. And the reason for the single button is its small size and light weight. The foot pedal and headphones are very similar to old-fashioned tape recorders. The software is very extensive, but rather poorly written. This requires Microsoft .NET software, which usually means a relatively new computer with lots of RAM. The minimum computer specs given appear, as is often the case, to be a LOW minimum. There are only THREE people in the United States that support ALL Philips voice recorders. Don't expect quick replies from them but they are very nice and helpful when you finally get hold of them.
