Love the shelf although (I knew beforehand) it is NOT easy to clean on those top shelves. I knew it wasn't going to happen. Keep them dry and use a vacuum, then wipe down with a rag. These shelves are really attractive. Although they are definitely for girls, they are very neutral in MY VIEW. Our daughter's room isn't exactly pink - it's mostly neutral beiges etc. It adds a bit of color and I really like her. They are HEAVY but fairly easy to assemble. It took my husband about 20 minutes, maybe a little longer, but not much. The closet holds several baskets full of things, and the top shelves are good for children's books. Really good stuff. I am very happy. A great bookshelf for young readers to keep their favorite books on display. Or, if you're spinning, it's a good idea to do so. Makes books interesting, and who doesn't want their kids to be excited about books? I'm sure I want her.
