Review on 🔪 Fiskars Comfort Loop Rotary Cutter 45mm - Steel and Orange: A Highly Efficient Cutting Tool by Kim Sanchez

I have an old Fiskars cutting machine that I've had for 20-25 years and it still works great. I bought this new one to add to my sewing kit to keep at the lake house over the weekend. This new one is terrible! This is not the same quality of the old! In the new design, the button to retract the blade is right where your thumb is. So you have to be careful not to touch it when cutting, otherwise the blade will retract when trying to cut. Then, to add to the poor quality, the blade began to retract on its own. Now the only way to cut is to press the button that holds the blade the entire time I'm cutting pushes forward. The screw holding the blade loosens on its own, so I have to check it after about ten cuts to make sure it's tight and tighten if it's loose. Not the safest haircut! Now I'll probably look for another brand of cutter because it's not worth the hassle and I don't trust Fiskars enough to risk another one.
