I bought this specifically to turn on the Mi Box S Android TV Streamer and/or my LG 65OLEDB7. It could not provide speeds over 100Mbps. Apparently these devices use two different chipsets and you can't easily tell which chipset is being used and if it's compatible before you buy. Different models of LG TVs have different USB ports, so different adapters will/will not work with them. It just so happens that the LG B7 *has* a USB 3.0 port (later models only have USB 2.0). So in theory, you should be able to get close to the speed you pay your ISP for. In the real world, however, YMMV; If it doesn't offer "gigabit" speeds when installed, even with the lights flashing, then it's incompatible and no better for your purposes than Wi-Fi on the Mi Box and 100Mbps Ethernet on the LG TV. The Cable Matters version (USB 3.0 10/100/1000) *works* with both my TV and Mi Box. So I had to send it back. But I don't think there is anything "wrong" with the device. I will say in parentheses that this is exactly the item you want to buy from Revain and not E*ay as it may not work through your fault or the fault of the manufacturer and it is much easier to return such a small item to Revain than anywhere else. Thank you Rewin!
