This carrycot is perfect for my big, heavy cat! It weighs 12 pounds and likes to stretch so it was very difficult to measure it, it can be as small as 16 inches up to 22 inches long. I think it's some kind of liquid or something. But it fits perfectly in the carrier and he really loves it! If I leave it open it will go straight in and dangle, and if closed from the outside it will scream for me to open it for it. It's beautiful and strong, the frame is actually so strong I can't crush it. generally downwards, so I'm hoping it's not too big to fit under an airplane seat. I was concerned that the mesh looks too soft and flimsy in the photos and has some serious claws, but in fact the mesh seems quite durable and firm to the touch. He's tested it with his claws and hasn't done any damage so far. The only thing I would change about this carrier is that I would prefer if the bottom was actually velcro or a zipper in the carrier. My other pet carrier has a Velcro bottom, but this one fits loosely in the carrier and I could see him picking it up slightly. But overall I still give 5 stars!
