I use it every day because it leaves my hair smooth and silky without feeling greasy. My hair is thin and straight. It has a very low hold so you will need to use mousse or whatever you need for the body and hold on top when you are going to style your hair. On days when I don't style my hair (ponytail days) I just use this. Small things have a big impact. I can't even remember the smell, so if there is, it's definitely not hard. Washes out easily. It also works as a detangler for me. I haven't had any issues with the fill or the pump, although I have to cut it upside down towards the end to get the last bit out, but that's typical.
