This is a pleasant surprise. I have bought flashlights in different price ranges with different quality. This is a very good deal for the money. This flashlight requires 3 AAA batteries and is equipped with 2 LED bulbs (white and UV). UV light doesn't appear bright, but it is; The human eye is not precisely calibrated for this light range. The beam of the flashlight can be adjusted to a wide or narrow beam with a rotating ring. The beam variation is created by adjusting the distance between the LED and the convex plastic lens. The narrowest beam is square in shape and will easily project that beam to nearly 200 yards on a fresh set of batteries. I haven't discharged the first set of batteries and the brightness doesn't seem to change at all after about 3 hours of use. The switch on the back has a distinct on/off click and toggles from white to UV with a light touch. The body is made of metal and looks solid. Four stars are given for two issues: the strap is flimsy and can't be adjusted to keep it from falling off your wrist, and the clip is very thin, very flexible metal that doesn't hold the flashlight in place due to its lack of tension. Overall a great purchase for the price and my current favorite flashlight.
