Whatever glue or epoxy was used to install the magnet, they are fragile. After attaching the mount to my table and removing it once, the magnet fell out and stuck to the bench. I reattached it with a liberal application of contact cement and I expect it to hold up fairly well. Otherwise it's a solid holder. Sturdy construction, fairly thick steel hook, BIG magnetic force - you're not going to accidentally knock this thing over or bend it with a careless tug or blow.
