I used this to anchor my boat next to the Summer Club on the Fire Island National Shore. A crazy FINS park ranger tried to get me to pay $130 for an anchorage. He mentioned me for having ridden a jet ski within 1,000 feet of shore but never saw the boat being towed and out of service. At Fire Island National Seashore there are no anchoring restrictions for any class of boat at this location, and he lied that he assumed the boat was coming under its own power because it was anchored. What a liar! He has threatened my wife with impounding her boat if he sees her back at anchor! Harassment and intimidation by our wonderful park rangers! He must have been jealous of this spectacular anchor chain!
