Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Enhanced Blackburn Outpost Bicycle Frame Bag by Gilbert Cokky

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just as good as Apidura at half price

I was considering buying a more expensive Apidura, Revelate or Ortlieb frame bag but decided to try this Blackburn Outpost bag first. I couldn't be happier. The bag is well made and very functional. Mesh side pockets come in handy for gels or snacks, and the hydrator pass-through is great for not only a hydration tube but also cable management. I keep the battery in my pocket and use it to charge my phone and power my headlight/taillight. The slim left side pocket is perfect for a wallet and phone, while the main compartment easily accommodates all your larger items. I packed it with my lunch, a small liter chamber, a frame pump and a battery pack, and there was still room for more. Medium is best for small shots. It fits my 52cm road bike like it was custom made. It's also thin enough that I don't notice it while driving. I used to use a Topeak top bag and it got in the way when I was standing over the bike and my knees bumped into it while sprinting. The pocket gets in the way of water bottle holders. I attached the down tube cage to the frame at the bottom with the bottom screw and velcro.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
