I ended up returning this item, so my rating for durability and strength is "neutral" rather than just three stars. The reason I returned these sandals is the size. My son has narrow, skinny feet, but the straps on these sandals were so tight that he couldn't even put his foot all the way in to get the strap snug on his foot. Even if he could slide his foot all the way, the sandals would extend about 2.5 cm past his toes, which means that in order for these sandals to fit a child's toes, they would need to be about 5 cm long. The sandals appeared to be well made but there was no quality control.
