My dentist advised me to buy an oral irrigator. I did some research, both locally and here on Revain, and finally settled on this one. I think it was a good choice. I can't say enough good things about this water silk. I'll try to mention most of the things I had questions or concerns about when I searched for them. It's very easy to use. It's easy to fill with water. You can pour straight from the faucet, but I don't like tap water, so I pour the spring water into a glass measuring cup, heat it up a bit in the microwave, and pour it in. The water tank has a filling opening, a good sturdy plastic hinged lid, or the tank can be completely removed from the device and you can fill it from above. It holds about 3/4 C and I fill it twice to thoroughly heal my teeth. It has four modes: Normal, Soft, Pulse and Custom. The included booklet contains instructions on how to set custom settings. Haven't tried it yet because I like the 'Soft' and 'Pulse' settings. Contains 5 nozzles: 2 regular; 1 with a small rubber tip that grips gum pockets; one with a stiff braces brush; and tongue cleaners (an often overlooked but useful thing!) They are easy to replace. I especially like the addition of pocket cleaner. I can't vouch for how effective it is, but it should be better than regular thread that can't get into pockets. I alternate between this and the usual advice. It comes with a USB charging cable, but not the part of the adapter that you plug into an outlet, although you can use any adapter (e.g. for a cellphone) and plug it into your computer's USB port as well or portable battery, so it really isn't needed (I've had enough of those already!). I only had to charge it for an hour or two when it arrived to keep it fully charged. I don't know how long the charge will last as I've only had it 2 days but with the ease of charging I don't mind. I've used it several times over these 2 days and it hasn't slowed down yet. I just found it really comfortable to hold and easy to use, love the different tips and I think it's a great product. . I'm glad I went for this one, I see no point in spending twice as much or more on some of the others who don't have anything this one doesn't have.
