I tried it on a relatively old PC monitor and my computer and it works fine. On the other hand, I've tried this on a Nintendo Switch and the latest PC monitor and it doesn't work. The same applies to the Mac Book Pro and the official Apple HDMI adapter. I tried connecting it to https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LQT760Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to make sure the active part of the cable is powered, but this does not work too. the right system to power it when the device isn't doing it right, that would be ideal (even if it's a 3rd party solution). The cable is very thin and comfortable. This is a single ended cable.
