    Idle Cables.: HDMI Cables

I bought some 3 foot cables and they turned out to be idle cables. Support tried to fix the issue but I ended up with several of the same dead cables. Got a decent Monoprice cable but not the active cables I wanted. So be careful when buying, you might have the same problem as me.

Not suitable for HDMI 2.0 or HDCP 2.2. Certification

Bought several of these devices then found they were not certified to fully utilize HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2. I agree with one of the statements here that the description is very misleading. If they're not certified for full HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 support, what doesn't work compared to cables that are *certified* for full HDMI 2.0 or HDCP 2.2 support?

    Exactly what the doctor ordered

I am having a problem connecting my DVD player to my LCD projector. About once or twice a week the image went black and white and just disappeared for about 5-10 seconds. I replaced the 15 foot passive cable with this 10 foot active cable and haven't had any issues since. I want to replace another passive wire but there is no power to power the active circuits.

    Not active not working

Bought this cable to try to run 4k60 on my TV from my desktop. I was incredibly disappointed that it didn't work, but figured they were just dormant and threw them in a heap to use whenever I needed a dormant cable. Today I tried to connect the switch to my TV with it and found that it didn't work at all. Tested with multiple docking stations and other devices. In all cases, the devices recognized that something was connected, but could not display the content. I've usually had good luck with…

    Works with AppleTV 4K

I bought this cable last year before I had 4K hardware. Having recently bought a TCL 49S517 and an AppleTV 4K I decided to give this cable a try despite all the bad reviews that it wasn't right for them. Well it works great for me. I have a 10ft version of this cable connected from an ATV 4K to a TCL TV HDMI port #2 and it works with no issues. I ran tests on ATV 4K for each video mode and they ALL work. 4K Dolby Vision, HDR, 60Hz, 50Hz and 25Hz, all video modes work without a single problem. I

I tried it on a relatively old PC monitor and my computer and it works fine. On the other hand, I've tried this on a Nintendo Switch and the latest PC monitor and it doesn't work. The same applies to the Mac Book Pro and the official Apple HDMI adapter. I tried connecting it to https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LQT760Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to make sure the active part of the cable is powered, but this does not work too. the right system to power it when the device

The first time the HDMI cable fails?

Over the years I've bought a variety of cables, from very cheap imitations to the tried and tested. This was the first one that caused me any problems. Bought 3 months ago and already black screen when using Xbox One X. I've tried every setting on the Xbox to see if it's just an incompatible mode but everything results in the screen going black for a few seconds becomes. I wanted a cable long enough to plug directly from the Xbox to the TV, so a powered cable seemed the best option for my…

    Does not support 4K@60Hz

This cable was purchased for my 4K projector that my PC is connected to . I found that the cable only supports 4K @ 30Hz with RGB. In the Nvidia control panel, if you set the refresh rate above 30Hz with the default settings, no image is displayed. Setting the digital format to YCbCr 4:2:0 allows 4k@60hz but loses the ability to enable HDR. Other formats are locked at 30Hz with no ability to enable HDR. At first I thought it was a limitation of my GPU/cable, so I bought a 15ft RevainBasics CL3…

    Intermittent flickering, unusable

I tried replacing my shorter, thicker HDMI cable with this one in my setup. I was able to get a picture but unfortunately I had an intermittent flickering every 5 seconds where part of the screen was flashing white. My setup is just my Vizio TV connected to my laptop via a USB-C adapter, 4k 60Hz. I don't think this is my setup as I have used two other different HDMI cables with the same resolution and settings in this setup and they worked great. I only had problems with this particular…
