Works for some devices. Does not work with Nintendo Switch/Official Mac HDMI Adapter
I tried this on a relatively old PC monitor and my computer and it works fine. On the other hand, I've tried this on a Nintendo Switch and the latest PC monitor and it doesn't work. The same applies to the Mac Book Pro and the official Apple HDMI adapter. I tried connecting it to https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LQT760Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to make sure the active part of the cable is powered, but that doesn't work either. the right system to power it if the device doesn't do it right, that would be ideal (even if it's a 3rd party solution) the cable is very thin and nice. This is a single ended cable.
