Granddaughters love it

I got a cable a week ago and ran it between two trees 150 feet apart, very little problem. I set the incline to less than the recommended 8% for several reasons that I think are good. I attached the bottom end to a heavy limb about 6 feet off the ground and the top end about 12 feet off the ground. As a result, the speed was about the same as that of the girls on the ground. Below they only had to sink a few centimeters to the ground. I ended up building a platform out of their tree house. They spent many hours taking turns riding it and having fun. I chose two large oaks, over 16 inches in diameter, to avoid the feathering effect. The only issue I had with installation was the stainless steel cable clamps, stainless steel is very bad at galling threads and I had to replace two of those. The solution to this problem is to apply an anti-seize compound to the threads. I also recommend using threadlock on the bolts where the casters are installed as the nuts came loose even with the included elastic stops. I also recommend 100% parental controls due to growth. If you have kids who want to have fun, that's great.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Hard to say
