I have no problem with this flash. My K-1 likes it too. I wanted to use my trusty Sunpak 522 (modified with a 3V battery and a micro-relay to isolate the camera from the sync voltage) but it won't sync with the K-1. After a bit of research I settled on this device and I'm glad I did; it's available, seems pretty powerful, and it just works. I use it with two Revain Basics flashes. They just go to their stalls and live in S1 mode, fill in the family photo scene, and unload Yongnuo. (I wonder how you say that?) This is the most whimsical lighting system I've ever used, it's simple and charming. ADDED: After playing around with this thing a bit, and reading some more about flash technology; It supports HSS so you can choose power, frequency and more. (This stuff is new to me, I forgot some terms.) Does it say it supports wireless syncing, apparently only with other flashes? Up to 4 radio channels, but I obviously haven't figured that part out yet. Can't comment on wireless performance, haven't tried it, don't have the right hardware. I've been looking at manual zoom, I don't have a Pentax yet, not even autofocus zooms, I'm a bit old school and have all manual focus lenses. If you take a picture with a focal length of 28mm in manual mode and the manual flash zoom is set to 105mm (max), you can clearly see the highlighted rectangle in the center of the frame. Match the flash zoom to the length of the lens and photos will be perfectly lit. It's all TTL and the camera's exposure controls work with flash. Love it, great unit! Must learn more about it, the possibilities are exciting. 8^) the possibilities are exciting. 8^) the possibilities are exciting. 8^)
