Not easy to replace.
One side of the hinge on my old lid broke so I had to replace it. After removing the old one, you need to cut the cover off the bracket and reduce its length by about 2 inches. I would like the lid hinge to be made of a stronger material. My old one broke during an off road trip which made it very uncomfortable. I think a small metal rod could have been inserted during the casting process to make the hinge more solid.
