Bought to replace my rescue dog's collar. It slipped over the dog's head to put it on or take it off and it bothered their ears. This collar is made from a strong braided material and will not ride up over the head but has a strong metal clasp and D ring and is easy to adjust. Only 4 stars because the clasp is a bit loose when I take the collar off - takes a few fiddles to get it loose. Sorry to say that otherwise the collar would be A#1. (And yes, we put it on and off three times a day to go outside because the collar rubbing her neck wears her hair down enough to create a small furrow.). **Here's an addendum: On our last evening walk we walked out the door and OMG! The collar flew off the dog, the dog was left alone in the dark! There I stood with a leash/collar in hand. "I repeat, this is a new rescue dog in a new territory.
