🐶 Durable Dog Collar with Metal Buckle and D Ring - Adjustable Medium Pet Collar for Enhanced Strength and Style (Blue/Gray Stripe) Review

I have looked at many different collars in all price ranges and am very happy with this one. It looks good, has reflective stitching and a very strong clasp. My only complaint, and this applies to all collars, is that the D-ring that the tags attach to is so thick that it bends those silly little tag holders. Maybe there's a better way to put tags, but damn if I know one.

I thought long and hard about keeping it but finally decided to return this collar. LOVE the color and design. However, I was not satisfied with the buckle. It was metal, but I couldn't always latch/unlatch it securely. And it didn't seem very strong to me. So I sent it back. Would be better suited for smaller dogs (I'm 75lbs) so it's not that heavy on them.

Nice collar but a bit "not so stiff/hard". Should be a little stiffer with a tight weave. Update: 8/21 the male side of the clasp broke (the tension side you press). One side of it just broke and fell out; Now the collar is useless. There is no way to fix it. What I thought was a very good product has now been downgraded to not very good.

We liked the thickness of the collar and the metal buckle. It was the most beautiful collar we have ever had. Until last night. We had this collar for almost 5 months and the buckle broke. Our pup is active but not clinging to the collar. Even a little hard. difficult. As you can see from the picture the rest of the collar looks great but the broken buckle makes it unusable.

I bought a medium grey/blue collar for my 5 month old brown haired Labrador/Austrian Pinscher mix. It contrasts very well with the color of their fur. The quality of the collar is also much better than I expected. The metal buckle/clasp has some weight so the collar stays in the same position most of the time. I would definitely order again if/when this one starts to age and become tattered.

* Updated 12-01-2021 * The fatal disadvantage of this design is that the buckle that keeps the collar at the desired length is made of plastic. The knot was chewed useless in less than three months. I like the collar. The locking mechanism seems strong BUT I bought the collar hoping two dogs playing wouldn't be able to open the latch. You can. The metal clasp is a deterrent, but if they enjoy playing tug of war with their collars, it won't snap into place.

I got this collar because my dog broke the last one she had thinking the metal clasp would solve her leash problem in the backyard. After 3 months of wearing she broke on both sides of the clasp making the collar unusable, she is also only a 45kg terrier. I would buy again if they used clasps that really hold up because the collar material is great and I love the reflective properties but the collar goes all the way to the clasp and that's where this product let me down.

The buckle on this collar is NOT secure and will come loose on its own! We thought that the metal buckle on this collar would be more reliable and durable than the plastic buckle, but it turned out to be the opposite. The "click" of the buckle isn't like it has a very strong latch to begin with, which should have been my first clue (and we definitely latch it all the way, we pull it back and forth just to be sure). This is Everything was fine for the first few months but now it's its 3rd month…

Bought to replace my rescue dog's collar. It slipped over the dog's head to put it on or take it off and it bothered their ears. This collar is made from a strong braided material and will not ride up over the head but has a strong metal clasp and D ring and is easy to adjust. Only 4 stars because the clasp is a bit loose when I take the collar off - takes a few fiddles to get it loose. Sorry to say that otherwise the collar would be A#1.
