The buckle on this collar is NOT secure and will come loose on its own! We thought that the metal buckle on this collar would be more reliable and durable than the plastic buckle, but it turned out to be the opposite. The "click" of the buckle isn't like it has a very strong latch to begin with, which should have been my first clue (and we definitely latch it all the way, we pull it back and forth just to be sure). This is Everything was fine for the first few months but now it's its 3rd month and this collar has been half opened several times over the past few days so we are replacing it with another brand with a better closure. Unfortunately, this collar is absolutely useless if the thing just falls down and opens by itself. And to be clear, our pup doesn't play with his collar and it pops open when he wasn't even on the leash/possibly pulling, so the buckle is definitely useless. I can't recommend it and I want my money back.
