I've been wearing Propet THIS SIZE for years with no problems. I'm actually very happy with this shoe so far. I always order the white version, but this time I ordered the black for the winter AND because they were on sale. I tried them right away and found they fit somewhat, but just chalked it up as new. Now less than two weeks later I have a huge sore on my pinky toe due to friction. I checked the trunk to see if there was anything inside, but everything was fine. Upon closer inspection, they appeared to be slightly smaller in width than I was used to. I dug up and compared the last white pair I bought earlier this year and although they are the same size the black version is already white at 7+mm. That's MORE THAN A QUARTER INCH LESS! You can really see the difference when you compare them side by side. I also dug up a gray pair I bought a few years ago and visually they are a lot wider than this new black pair. They approach the white couple. I'm guessing as I've been wearing them for 10 days now they can't be returned so I can only hope my toe hardens as it heals so I can try wearing them again or I'll have to throw them out. At the same time, the old shades of gray fit PERFECTLY! So the question is, did China mistakenly label these smaller shoes with a wider width model? Did they move the production to another factory because the labels are different? Or Propet decided to make them smaller for some reason. Therefore, if you are used to very wide shoes, I would advise you to check them carefully upon arrival before putting them on. I am not a happy customer at the moment.
