Landline is okay

I was thrilled when I saw the price because I was looking for a cheap cordless phone with an answering machine. I love the autoresponder and the features that come with it. My headset problem; very difficult to hear the interlocutor. I have to turn the volume up but then I have to speak softly because I hear my SCREAM and ONLY hear the person on the other end of the line. I need to be in a quiet room with no children, TV or dogs to hear and use this phone and in most cases this is just not possible.
