Review on Kanto P101W Universal Projector Mount by Darryl Duncan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It handles many different mounting options. The height adjustment feature is very good compared to most.

Mounting is fine, even the lack of screws for ceiling mounting was a surprise (cost saving move?). But the block itself seems to work fine. I didn't manage to get my Epson 2030 center of gravity well balanced, so I have a slight (1*) tilt from left to right on the screen, not noticeable on the projector itself. I can center it again, but after a or two days later it has this tendency again. My reason for only 3 stars is that this serves its purpose but could use a better seat retention system. The ball works well but the pressure is uneven. In some places it's so tight I can barely move it, in others it's wobbly (maybe why can't I get rid of that left tilt?). If I tighten it any further, I can't adjust it at all, other than it still reverts to its left-to-right tilt. This is my first projector and ceiling mount so take whatever it's worth.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • not sure
