This is my 5th car seat that I got for my kids. I've bought another Diono carseat (different model from 2019) for my older son and I really liked it, I think it looks much better than other brands out there. What I like the most is that it's not as bulky as other car seat, it looks much slimmer and takes about 10% to 15% less space , since I have a mid-size SUV, this was a pretty important requirement, as we could still squeeze another skinny person into the back seat in between the Diono car seats (the old one I bought and this one). Secondly, this car seat offers much more leg room than the other 3 car seat brands that I got (I don't want to name them out), but this is also pretty important as my daughter grows older, she'll still be more comfortable in it. But there are 2 things I don't like about this car seat, one is that it takes lot of efforts to remove all the padding and seat cover for washing and drying and lot of work to put them back on. Secondly, this car seat is super heavy, so my wife can't easily remove it from her car when she needs more space or when she has to take a family member to the airport, and I always end up having to remove it and put it back (this wouldn't be a problem if you never have to remove the car seat from your car though). Overall, we do like this Diono cat seat better and it feels more rigid, sturdy and stronger and would provide better protection for our kid in case anything happens.
