I have switched to a vacuum for the store due to a problem with industrial size pet hair as I am a foster mother for the local humane society. These bags last about a month and can hold a lot of pet hair. They come in a 3 pack and are very affordable. Also easy to install. I tried using a canister vacuum because I didn't like the hassle of finding replacement bags, but that wasn't a problem. In addition, the shop vacuum cleaner is powerful and almost indestructible. I can vacuum up pet pounds, spilled (or intentionally thrown) kitty litter, and spiders without worry. Nothing escapes these bags and pierces them. All I hoped for and didn't expect was that I would be able to assemble all of the paper, bead, and wire crafts I play with pets without breaking the bag or jamming the suction cup. the power of my shop wack. I regret ever fiddling with more expensive racks in the past, all for fear of puncture bag issues. I bet you could shovel garbage with that much industrial power, but I wouldn't do it just because it would be sheer laziness. However, there is something to the economy of being able to collect nails without worrying about ruining your vacuum or breaking your bag.
