Review on ๐Ÿ”ต Inch Deep Conduit Knockouts with Round Design by Edwin White

Difficult and expensive but got the job done so I'm satisfied

Like many of you I had the problem of removing an old light fixture only to find there was no junction box behind it and also a pipe , leaving no room for a junction box. When I saw this flat box I thought it might work. There are no instructions but here is what I did. Attach the tine bracket to the round box with a long screw. The projectile goes into the 4" hole you cut, the mount is behind the wall, the teeth dig into the wall as you tighten the screw. The shorter screw didn't work for me as it didn't leave enough room to move the bracket behind the wall. Once loose, tighten the screw to secure it in place. You shouldn't be able to move the circle, it should be flush with the wall. I did not use the short screw and small rubber hose that came with the kit. After installation, the long screw in the middle interfered with the mounting plate of the light. I used bolt cutters to cut the screw to make room for the mounting plate. I attached an approximately 8lb cosmetic light to it, no problem with that! Verdict: Yes it's expensive for what it is, yes it's a hassle to install, but it did the job that I haven't seen any other solution for, so I'm very glad it solved my problem !
