I think it's a bit expensive for what you get but I still agree because a) it's a great quality b) it comes with a mat and c) it is easy to assemble. We've tried a lot of playpens this year because they start off well but don't hold up well during the tough toddler months. I have high hopes for this one because it seems better than the others in terms of build. The parts are strong, you can squeeze them and try to bend them, but they won't bend. This isn't cheap stuff. All bars slide easily and connect effortlessly. What I like is that it comes with a mat. It's a large playpen and hard to find rugs to match so worth it it comes with one and fits. I've seen others say the rug is too big but mine fits great! Could it be quality control? Either way, it's the best we've ever used and helps keep 3 toddlers in their allotted space while we work in the kitchen or have a quick meeting. As they get older or have back problems, a secret door will come in handy for them to get in and out on their own. Until they learn to unpack. Until then, I'd definitely buy it for a safe place to play, even if it's a little pricey.
