The first disappointment right after opening the box, NO power pack. Worse still, this is a 48V DC input and not a regular 12V DC adapter. To be clear, the description doesn't mention anything, the only reference is "R2X15A". The second disappointment is after I managed to find a POE injector and turn on this pretty hotspot. I can't add a hotspot to the app after registering an Instanton account in the app, even though the green and amber LEDs are flashing as per the setup guide. I tried resetting the device to default settings by following the guide. I didn't even know if the device was reset or not as the instructions don't mention a "flashing LED". Anyway without success after trying and trying. I had to grab my laptop, look into my router. Okay, the access point has not been assigned an IP address. I tried changing the cable, changing the access point from gateway mode to access point mode. It finally works after replacing the POE injector with one borrowed from my office. I suspect this is due to the strange construction of the connecting cable. After that it works great. The app experience is the same as my previous Netgear Orbi. Now I'm trying to find a power supply for it, the cheapest I can find is 3040$ not knowing if it will work with this beautiful hotspot or not.
