This item was purchased to extend my Rode VideoMicro from my GoPro. Before using this extension I could actually see the fluffy wind filter in my GoPro shot and it looked like a very annoying fluffy cat ball just chilling at the top of my shot. I think if you're into cats or filming Catwoman with your gopros, you might want to just scroll through this section. But catwomen are pretty weird to me (except my grandma) so I went with this shoe mount adapter so I don't have to see the mic on every recording. You can tilt the microphone up or down depending on the scenario. ****PLEASE READ THIS PART***** I think everyone on this thread should know that there are so many alignments that this element can use. is used for. Let me list them. Boot Attachment to Female Shoe Attachment Female Shoe Attachment to 1/4" Female Shoe Attachment to 1/4" Female Boot Attachment to 1/4" Male Boot Attachment to 1/4" Female Shoe Attachment 1/4" to 1/4" Connector 1 / 4" Thread to Female 1/4" Female 1/4" Female to 1/4" Female Now remember that there is a combination of parts between each of these connections. There are about four parts in total that you can easily customize to your liking. If you don't understand, just look at my photo. I have a 1/4" male connector that holds a small rig in my red GoPro housing and then it goes to a female shoe mount for my Rode mic. You can adjust and position the ball mount as you like. It's really the best MUST HAVE for GoPro or even DSLR cameras. I tested it with the 80d pistol. But any of them will work. This product is what you are looking for. And it's very strong. It's all metal and looks great when you snap it into place. Doesn't move AT ALL. Very good product.
